When MAN was created and he
started his activities over the planet of Earth, he faced two major problems in
the way of his survival:
(1) Hunger (Joo in Arabic)
(2) Fear (Khauf in Arabic)
There were already created numerous natural resources of FOOD. They include food grown from the soil; vegetables and fruits, sea food, animals to be hunted. Man was required to gather / collect food according to his needs, he could hunt animals, he could produce more food with his efforts. He could move from place to place and settle at his favorite places over the planet. Thus food was unlimited and it is still unlimited.
He faced fear from natural disasters; earth quakes, tsunamis, floods, extreme weathers etc. and fear from wild and poisonous animals. The Man was equipped with thinking and creative abilities to save himself from these fears. And in fact he has largely saved himself from most of these fears by using his abilities.
Now Man is facing a THIRD FEAR,
Fear of Man from Man. This fear has been created by Man himself. This is based
on desire and lust for occupation of all economic resources, occupation of
others' lands and properties through imposition one's faith on others. This
gave birth to intolerance and paved the way for ignorance. Those human
societies which allowed tolerance, they could fight against ignorance and
progressed. And the intolerant societies remained ignorant and never progressed
because they could not participate in inventions, discoveries, innovative
knowledge and forward movement.
What a life we are living and what a place we are living?
Insecure, frightened, helpless, weak, a place where people impose their agenda
on gun-point, a place where ignorance is dominant, a place where no person and
no place is safe. Even Mosques, Imam-bargahs, Churches, Temples are not safe. A
place where suicide bombers, killers of innocent people are "Janaty".
A jungle where there is no law, not even law of jungle. A place where we have lost
our identity, our pride, our destiny. A place where audience dictate the
speaker. A place where people are rigid. A place where teachers are dictated on
what to teach. A place where academic degrees are without knowledge. A place
where meanings of merit are changed. A place where success means snatching and
looting by hook or by crook. A place where only gangsters are upright. A place
where argument has died. A place where intolerance has dominated.......
